INTIMACY WITH THE LORD.

One of the most important desires of all the children of God should be developing a closer relationship with Him.

David said to Solomon his son, "If thou seek Him (God), He will be found by thee; but if thou forsake Him, He will cast thee off forever." 1 Chronicles 28:9 AKJV

Your position and function in your local church is not as important as your relationship with the Lord. Many active workers in the church are doing their service by the flesh. For long God has cast them off because they do not seek the presence of the Lord.

Seek to live in the presence of the Lord. Don't be an occasional visitor to His presence. Absence from the presence of the Lord leaves believers dry. Serving God "is not by might, nor by power. It is by my spirit says the Lord." Zechariah 4:6

Spiritual dryness makes people to function in the flesh rather than in the spirit. Most things done in the flesh leads to failure.

In our age, hearing the voice of the Lord and having supernatural direction is very important.  God is speaking. But are we listening?

There are troubling 'gospels' and messages in the air. Men of God are daily chumming out abraiged versions of the gospel for their selfish interest.

Save yourself from this ontoward generation and the calamities that are coming to befall it.

You can do this by developing a closer intimacy with the Lord. This is achievable through in-depth study of the word. 

You also have to cry to God to make you spiritual alive and alert.

Pray to hear and identify His voice. There are voices in the air clamouring for your attention. Ability to identify the voice speaking to you will deliver you from confusion.

Pray to God always and fervently. The Lord is at hand. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Save yourself from this ontoward and perverse generation.

Jesus is coming again. Are you ready?
